Policy on Firearm Purchasing
Policy on firearm purchasing: Must be at least 18 years of age, Firearms can only be shipped to a FFL dealer, it is the customer's responsibility to email the FFL information to email@example.com within 72 hours of payment. The FFL information must include: name of business, phone and fax number, mailing address and contact name. It is the customers responsibility to make sure that this firearm is legal in there area before you make your purchase. Make sure to check your Federal, State, & Local laws. Inspect your firearm thoroughly to insure that you have the correct make, model, caliber, barrel length, color, etc. Make sure the firearm is not defective or varies from what you ordered in any way BEFORE the firearm is transferred. Your FFL Dealer will require you to fill out and successfully pass a Federal Background Check 4473 Form before the firearm can be transferred to you.
Policy for Online Purchasing
Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy: 14 day return policy. Returned items must have complete packaging and be in unused condition. Certain exclusions apply: see item description for item return policy. Items marked "final sale" and “special order” are final sale and cannot be returned. Special order means anything that we would not normally stock, and that we would order for just for you specifically. “Special orders” cannot be returned for any reason and are final sale. There are no refunds, exchanges or store credits for special orders. The special order can be cancelled as long as the items have not been shipped or unless otherwise specified. LIOutdoorsman.com reserves the right to deny customer refund, store credit or exchange for a returned item if it is damaged due to being dropped, taken apart, or any misuse by customer. If this is the case, the customer must return the item directly to the manufacturer.
New Firearms: Must be at least 18 years of age. Firearms are final sale and cannot be returned unless they are found to be defective upon inspection. If your firearm is defective DO NOT PROCEED WITH THE FIREARM TRANSFER and do not accept the firearm! You may return the gun for a choice of a replacement of "YOUR CHOICE" (value of the returned firearm will be used towards balance of new firearm) or store credit. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
Used Firearms: Must be at least 18 years of age. Firearms are final sale and cannot be returned unless they are found to be defective upon inspection. All used firearms are warrantied for 15 days after date of purchase during which time any repairs are to be done at no charge to customer. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
VERY IMPORTANT - FIREARM RETURNS !!: Please take your time to inspect all firearms thoroughly BEFORE proceeding with the transfer. Once a new firearm is transfered to you it is considered used, even if unfired. Consequently, we cannot accept returns for new firearms once they have been transferred into your possession. Also, we DO NOT reimburse FFL transfer fees on returned items. We do understand that some manufacturer defects may not be identifiable upon initial inspection. However, upon discovering a defect AFTER the transfer, the firearm MUST be returned directly to the manufacturer for replacement or repair(in accordance with manufacturers warranty policy). By sending a defective firearm directly to the manufacturer, you can avoid the unnecessary transfer fees of returning the firearm to us through your local FFL dealer. Manufacturer repaired firearms can be returned directly to the customer without additional FFL transfer or associated fees. However, if the manufacturer chooses to replace the firearm, the replacement firearm must transfer through your local FFL dealer to document the replacement firearm serial number. In most cases, the manufacturer will cover the cost of shipping on warranty service.
Ammunition: All Ammunition Sales are Final. Ammo cannot be returned.
Bows: All bows are final sale and cannot be returned. Warranty issues are to be returned directly to the manufacturer by the customer.
Airguns: Airguns can only be returned if they are found to be in their original unopened packaging. Warranty issues are to be returned directly to the manufacturer by the customer.
Time Frame: Customer has 14 days to make return on his/her item as long as its eligible for return. After 14 days, LIOutdoorsman.com will not accept any returns.
Shipping Charges: Customer is responsible for all shipping charges. LIOutdoorsman.com will not refund any shipping charges.
Restocking Fee: Returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee. Defective items that are returned are not subject to a restocking fee.
If you just want to exchange an item, please indicate that in the space available at the bottom of your invoice.
All exchanges and refunds will be processed within 2 weeks from the moment we receive all item(s) back.
Please write the reason for your return and your phone number in the space available at the bottom of your invoice. Keep a copy of the invoice for your records.

In Store Policies
Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy: Items can be returned for store credit or exchange only. No refunds. Returned items must have complete packaging and be in unused condition. Firearms, bows, and air guns are final sale. Some items such as heaters, fuel, closeouts, fishing bait, ice fishing equipment, “special ordered” items, and some other seasonal items may not be returned. “Special orders” can be cancelled and customer may be refunded his/her deposit, unless the items have already been shipped or unless otherwise specified. Once special order arrives, the customer must pick up order within 30 days. After 30 days, customer’s item may be sold or sent back to supplier; customers deposit may be converted to store credit and incur 10% restocking fee. Items that are found to be defective may be returned for store credit or exchange only. Manager reserves the right to deny customer store credit or exchange for a defective item if it is damaged due to being dropped, taken apart, or any misuse by customer.
Defective Firearms: All new firearms are covered under manufacturer’s warranty and are to be sent to manufacturer for repair. If manufacturer does not cover shipping costs, then the customer is responsible for shipping. All used firearms are warrantied for 15 days after date of purchase during which time any repairs are to be done at no charge to customer. Guns that are not covered under warranty may be repaired at the customer’s expense.
Consignment Policy: Consignee (LI Outdoorsman) receives 20% commission of final sale price, excluding sales tax. Any fees associated with the sale of consignment item; such as online listing fees, repairs, etc. are deducted from final sale price before commission is calculated. Items left on consignment must remain on premises for at least 90 days. If consignor (person selling item) wants item back before 90 day minimum, consignee still receives 20% commission. If consignor wants his/her consignment firearm back he/she must fill out 4473 form and pass background check.
Repairs Policy: Customer is responsible for all shipping charges on any off-site repairs. Repair work cancelled by customer may still be subject to evaluation fee, parts charges and/or shipping charge. Repairs are guaranteed for up to 1 year as long as repaired item has been properly maintained & not misused by customer, we will repair at no charge. Firing pins, extractors, fiber optic sight pins, bow strings and string accessories, and some other parts are considered wear & tear parts. “Wear & tear” parts are not covered by 1 year limited warranty. Air gun repairs are not covered by any warranty. Customer is required to pick up completed repairs in 30 days. After 30 days customer will incur monthly 5% surcharge added to his/her repair total.
Layaway Policy: Layaways will be held for maximum of 30 days. If item on layaway is not paid in full in 30 days, the customers deposit is converted to a store credit minus 10% restocking fee and item is placed back out for sale.
Selling Used Guns: All firearms (pistols, rifles, & shotguns) must clear a background check which takes 15 working days. Customer may receive payment only after guns have cleared background check.
